More Texas schools making alcohol available

Just in time for the new school year, colleges across the state are making plans to offer alcoholic beverages, either at on-campus pubs or allowing sales at sporting events.

The San Antonio Express-News reported Friday that St. Mary's University will become one of the few institutions in the state to have an on-campus pub.

The private Catholic university received a $1.12 million donation from two alumni, Tom Contreras and his wife, Leti Contreras, to build an on-campus pub at St. Mary's.
