D3 Security Management Systems has introduced the latest in mobile incident reporting and security tour technology with the official release of its innovative new handheld solution, D3 Mobile. Based on the infallible Apple iOS platform, D3 Mobile fuses the only fully integrated Incident Reporting, Guard Tour, Dispatch and Procedures software with the world-class Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Nano.

“We wanted to deliver what our physical security customers and partners had always needed, but could never find,” said D3 President, Gordon Benoit. “They needed a tool that could receive and accept detailed dispatches, instantly attach photos to incident reports, and help security officers perform additional tasks—all from a mobile device that was easy-to-use, economical and GPS-equipped.”

The presence of a strong mobile offering allows D3 customers to extend the company’s technologically advanced suite of security and safety software right to the front-lines, where it can be used for mobile incident reporting and to optimize a physical security operation from the ground-up. Dispatches sent to D3 Mobile, for example, can include footage from nearby surveillance cameras, or information about banned persons who may be in the area.

“Before D3 Mobile, there was no product that could give security officers so many integrated tools, nor was there a product that could provide security managers and executives with the performance and accountability metrics they so desperately needed,” said Alex MacLachlan, Marketing Director at D3. “Plus, with D3 Mobile, users leverage the trend of system convergence...an officer receiving a dispatch can have that dispatch enhanced with video; the acceptance of that dispatch will alter his guard tour data, and the dispatcher can track that officer via D3 Mobile’s GPS.”
