Minot State University may need as much as $4 million to recover from the effects of last summer’s flood, President David Fuller said Thursday.
Fuller told the state Board of Higher Education the university is experiencing a deficit due to a drop in enrollment and a housing shortage caused by the flood.
The university has had to hire additional recruiters and do more marketing to address the enrollment decline, Fuller said.
Minot State’s fall enrollment was 3,657 students, a 5 percent drop from the previous year. Fuller said enrollment is also down this spring.
