After seven years of service to Mid Michigan Community College (MMCC), President Carol Churchill has announced her retirement, effective June 30, 2014.

“The retirement announcement of President Carol Churchill from MMCC is accepted with mixed emotions by the college board of trustees,” said Doug Jacobson, MMCC board chair. “Carol has devoted herself to the college and her energy, ideas, and good natured enjoyment of people will leave a gap that will be a challenge to fill.”

At the beginning of Churchill’s tenure, MMCC served almost 6,000 students throughout central Michigan. Today, MMCC serves more than 7,000 students each year and is nearing the completion of a historic renovation and construction phase that will result in a revitalized campus in Harrison and an entirely new campus in Mount Pleasant.
