McDonough named president of Raritan Valley Community College

Michael John McDonough, provost and vice president of academic services at Monroe Community College in Rochester, N.Y., has been named the eighth president of Raritan Valley Community College.

McDonough was selected Tuesday by the trustees of the college that serves Somerset and Hunterdon counties. McDonough, who will start in the position on June 2, will replace Casey Crabill who left nearly two years ago.

“Dr. McDonough is a dynamic, creative leader who has extensive experience in dealing with the challenges and opportunities facing community colleges,” said Dr. Paul Hirsch, chairman of the college’s trustee board.
