The Louisiana Community and Technical College System is slated to choose its new leader next week, ahead of the Feb. 26 departure date of current LCTCS President Joe May.

In January, search committee charged with choosing the system's new head whittled down a pool of seven candidates to four finalists. These four were interviewed last week, but the list wasn't narrowed any further, LCTCS Executive Director for Media Relations Quintin Taylor said Wednesday.

The four finalists are:

  • Deborah Blue, Chancellor of the State Center Community College District in Fresno, California
  • Marie Gnage, President of West Virginia University at Parkersburg, West Virginia
  • James Henderson, Chancellor of Bossier Parish Community College in Louisiana
  • Monty Sullivan, Chancellor of the Delgado Community College in Louisiana
