University of Michigan's Flint campus chancellor will step down in August 2014.
U-M President Mary Sue Coleman is expected to convene a search committee for Ruth Person's replacement this summer.
Coleman visited Flint in December for Person's reappointment review and decided to extend her contract by one year.
Chancellors are typically awarded five-year appointments and it's standard practice for Coleman to conduct a review if the chancellor is interested in possible reappointment to a successive five-year term.
