Knapp Named Holland College's 12th President

The newly chosen leader of Hope College says he's looking forward to helping students to meld academics with their faith.

Hope's trustees voted unanimously Monday to name Dr. John Knapp as the Holland college's 12th president. He started his career in the business world before turning to education.

Knapp comes to Hope from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama where he founded a center for ethics and leadership. Knapp takes over as president July 1, 2013, upon the retirement of out-going leader James Bultman.
