Ivy Tech Hires Former Lawmaker To Lead Division

Ivy Tech has named a former state representative as permanent president of its new Corporate College division, which trains and certifies company employees in job skills.

Matt Bell, 37, will start work for Ivy Tech in Indianapolis on April 2, leaving his job as chief executive of the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana.

Bell was a state representative from 2005 to 2010, serving parts of Allen, Noble and Whitley counties.

Bell said his main goal will be to expand training and certification programs in the Corporate College program at Ivy Tech's 14 regional campuses and generate more revenue.
