While no locations have been specifically identified, Ivy Tech Community College officials say it will be December or later before a final decision is made regarding the closure of campuses around Indiana.
Ivy Tech has a total of 76 educational locations across the state, and currently a “return on investment” analysis is underway at all 43 leased learning sites.
Earlier this summer, Ivy Tech officials said mounting budget woes and a $78 million shortfall could prompt the closing of several sites. Jeff Terp, Ivy Tech senior vice president, said the estimated 20 sites reported to close was “speculation made in the media.”
A final decision will be made by the state board of trustees based on the recommendation of Ivy Tech president Tom Snyder and discussion with external stakeholders.
