A record number of students are enrolled at Iowa State University this fall, while enrollment at the University of Iowa increased slightly a year after a large influx of freshmen, fall-term enrollment data released Wednesday show.
ISU welcomed its largest class of freshman, transfer and international students. A total of 29,887 students enrolled this fall, a 4.2 percent rise over last fall’s record of 28,682.
The U of I enrolled 30,893 students, 68 more than last year.
The University of Northern Iowa enrolled 13,168, a decrease of 33 students from last year.
