IBM teams with University of South Carolina on Army aircraft research

IBM Corp. today signed an agreement with the University of South Carolina’s College of Engineering and Computing to become a partner in USC’s condition-based maintenance research and development collaboration.

Mark Easton, vice president of Software Groups, Solutions at IBM, attended the signing of the agreement at USC and announced a grant of $2.4 million worth of business analytic software to USC.

He also indicated that the agreement was just the first of several such partnerships with the University of South Carolina.
