Hundreds protest Zimmerman verdict on Howard University campus

Hundreds gathered to protest the George Zimmerman's acquittal on Howard University's Campus Sunday.

It was organized by the campus NAACP Chapter. They are hoping participants will sign the National Chapter's online petition to encourage the Justice Department to file civil rights charges against Zimmerman, who was found not guilty in the shooting death of 17 year Trayvon Martin in February of 2012.

The rally opened old wounds for Nardyne Jefferies, whose daughter Brishell Jones , was killed in a drive by shooting on South Capitol Street. She had a simple reason for being there.
