At times, the cliques could seem inescapable.
Shontierra Parks would see them – the students who only socialize and circulate with one another – as she walked through the halls of Central High School.
But they’re a little easier to break through now that she’s completed a program created by Aquinas College that helped her develop leadership and problem solving skills.
“You don’t realize that somebody in another clique has a lot of the same similarities as you,” Parks, a junior at Central, said.
