Halliburton donates $3M to University of Wyoming energy research complex

Halliburton, a leading oil field services company, is giving $3 million to the University of Wyoming to support construction of a major new energy research complex, officials announced.

Halliburton’s contribution will be matched, for a total of $6 million, through state of Wyoming matching dollars and the UW School of Energy Resources research match funding.

The donation was announced today during ceremonies in the Wyoming Capitol rotunda.

Gov. Matt Mead said the university is conducting research like no one else in the world, which is attractive to the energy industry.
