College students across the country have protested repeated hikes in their tuition and fees.
But at Guilford College, it’s the students who are behind the push to increase what they pay for their education.
The proposal that the college’s Community Senate made recently to President Kent Chabotar calls for a $100 increase in activity fees over the next two years.
Guilford students would see a $50 increase next year, or an additional $25 a semester. The extra money would support student financial aid programs.
