Freshmen Enrollment Expected To Jump 12 Percent

The number of incoming freshmen at the University of Central Arkansas is expected to increase 12 percent this fall over the same time last year, said Robert Parrent, vice president for enrollment management.

Parrent is among several speakers to talk to the Board of Trustees during the UCA board's retreat today.

The number of entering freshmen last year was 1,960, compared to 2,196 expected this year. Across the board, indicators show freshmen numbers are up — housing applications are up, the number of financial aid applications are up and the number of pending applications is up, Parrent said.
