The mystery of who was behind last year’s strange case of information leaks at Lindenwood University may have been solved.

On Monday, St. Charles County prosecutors filed three misdemeanor charges against a man accused of being responsible for the so-called LindenLeaks episode in which confidential student information was published online.

Named in the charges, filed in St. Charles County Circuit Court, was Addison Richard Todd, of St. Charles. He was charged with three counts of computer-related tampering. If convicted he would face a maximum penalty of a year in the county jail and up to $1,000 in fines.

Todd could not be reached for comment.
