Florida continues to have a higher education space race

Only in Florida higher education can two-plus-two add up to eight.

That's why Joe Negron, chair of the Florida Senate's Appropriation Committee is wary of the explosion of four-year degree programs in state comm ... oops, I mean state colleges.

By the way, when did “community” get to be such a disreputable term? Seems like only yesterday we had a slew of them (and even the odd “junior college”) in Florida. Now there are just three: Florida Keys, Hillsborough and North Florida.
