Five semifinalists for the University of New Orleans' presidency were picked Tuesday afternoon by the committee charged with selecting a new leader for the Lakefront campus.
Four were nominated by the firm hired to work on the search. Only one -- Colin Scanes, a vice chancellor of the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee -- applied directly.
The other four finalists are:
-- Raymond Alden III, executive vice president and provost of Northern Illiniois University at DeKalb.
-- Dr. Peter Fos, director of health policy and systems management at LSU's School of Public Health in New Orleans.
