The college and academic senates at Manchester Community College voted Tuesday to send a letter to the Board of Regents for Higher Education expressing their confidence in their president, Gena Glickman.
Glickman has "our complete confidence" the letter said, adding, "We believe our college can best continue to thrive and prosper under the continued leadership of President Glickman."
Late Tuesday afternoon, the groups intended to do some minor editing to the letter before sending it on to the regents. The college senate represents faculty, students and professional staff; the academic senate includes all faculty and all professional staff members.
Angelo Messore, a political science and economics professor who attended the meeting, said, "We want to make sure the board knows we think [Glickman] is doing a good job."
