Faculty Salaries: See How West Michigan Colleges And Universities Line Up

Full professors at West Michigan’s public universities tend to make more than their counterparts at local private colleges, according to a recent survey.

The survey, by the Association of American University Professors, examined 2011-12 pay rates at more than 1,200 colleges and universities throughout the nation.

“This academic year is the third in a historic low period for full-time faculty salaries, which failed to meet the rate of inflation again this year,” according to a statement from the group.

Salaries for full-time faculty members rose, on average, 1.8 percent from the 2010-11, the association said.
