Early Action Applications Rise At James Madison U

More students are seeking admission to James Madison University through its early action program.

Dean of admissions Michael Walsh tells the Daily News-Record that the school received 9,300 early action applications by this year's Nov. 1 deadline. That's up 1,400 from the previous year.

James Madison doesn't require students accepted through the early application process to attend the university. Walsh says that could be one reason why the number of applications has increased.
