To Brandon Griewank, diversity is about celebrating our differences, not tolerating them.
On Feb. 25, he’ll help mark a step toward that goal, the opening of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at Corning Community College. It will be in the Commons building on the main Spencer Hill campus.
Griewank, 30, of Corning, is not your typical CCC student. Granted, older students are more common since the recession, but he came to upstate from a big-city setting, New York City, and he’s part of the LGBT — lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender — community on campus through the group Equal.
