Since DePaul University replaced its existing telefundraising software with SunGard Higher Education’s SmartCall, the University’s advancement staff is reporting improved calling efficiency and productivity with more than a 10 percent increase in donors and gifts for the school.
“We needed a system that helped us be more efficient in our calling by providing Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), the capability to automatically email pledge reminders, and out-of-the-box integration with our VPN,” said John Swango, DePaul University associate director of technology, advancement data systems.
SunGard Higher Education’s SmartCall is a telefundraising software system designed specifically to meet the needs of higher education institutions. Its progressive dialing technology automates the dialing process, helping provide greater efficiency while allowing for personalized service from callers to prospective donors.
SmartCall has helped improve calling productivity and fundraising numbers. “We have been able to maximize our resources and increase our productivity,” said Ron Eisenstein, director of advancement data systems at DePaul. “We are able to analyze call center activities to track progress and develop new strategies to further improve our efforts. At a time when a lot of telefundraising campaigns are seeing decline, we are seeing an improvement.”
