Prior to Notre Dame, McCormick served for six years as vice president for business and finance at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa, and for eight years as chief financial officer and treasurer at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She has a bachelor's degree in management and administration, and an M.B.A. in finance, both from Indiana University.

"Dee emerged as our top choice from a pool of more than 88 outstanding candidates, including many sitting or former CFOs at colleges across the country," said Grant Cornwell, Wooster's president. "She has extensive experience with strategic and financial planning, budgeting, and administration. She has managed a $350 million endowment and multi-million dollar construction projects, including two science facilities. And at each institution, she has worked diligently with faculty and staff to create an environment of transparency and inclusivity."

"I am so excited to be joining the Wooster community," McCormick said. "From the first minute I began exploring this position, I could tell immediately that the campus truly lives the mission. It is all about students and their transformation from the time they arrive at Wooster, until they make their final walk as graduates. I plan to immerse myself in the life of the college, as well as the community, and want to make a difference with the depth and breadth of my experience as a business officer in higher education."
