Daytona State ‘singled out’ for president’s contract

Two South Florida representatives have “singled out” for scrutiny Daytona State College’s contract with President Carol Eaton in a letter to Gov. Rick Scott at the same time the local board is close to deciding whether to renew her contract.

The Miami representatives, who chair various committees dealing with higher education, sent a letter to the governor regarding a Chief Inspector General report issued in the summer on compensation of all 28 state and community college presidents. The report, they said, “yielded findings that we believe deserve greater attention.”
