Davis named new president at Furman University

Furman University today announced that Elizabeth Davis will be the school's new president.

Davis, who currently serves as executive vice president and provost of Baylor University in Texas, will begin her Furman presidency July 1. She will be the 12th president of the university.

She was a unanimous selection by the university’s board of trustees, according to a university news release.
