Davenport University Hopes New Vice President Will Boost Giving

Davenport University has selected Peg Luy as its Executive Vice President for Advancement, a position in which she’ll be responsible for helping boost fundraising and building relationships with alumni.

Luy, who spent the past 30 years at Millikin University in Decatur, Ill., said she came to Davenport because she was impressed with the university’s “vision,” and its mission to prepare students for careers in business, technology and health.

“It’s the vision of the institution, the way it goes about preparing students,” Luy said of her decision to come to Davenport.

The university declined to give Luy’s salary.
