Cuomo's $8M plan pays STEM tuition at SUNY, CUNY

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has previously proposed to give the top 10 percent of students across the state full tuition โ€” if they go to a SUNY or CUNY college, โ€” if they major in one of the fields lumped together as STEM, โ€” science, technology, engineering or math, - if they stay in New York and work here for five years after college.

But few expected the governor to roll that program out for those who will be starting college this fall. Those students are deep into the college selection process, a process started months ago.
