Wayne, New Jersey – ConnectYard, Inc., the leading provider of social engagement solutions, today launched its RESTful Web API for customers and third-party developers. The ConnectYard API empowers developers to use one interface to send direct messages to users via social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, in addition to SMS and email, enabling them to more easily reach and engage their users with time-sensitive communications.

"ConnectYard is committed to working with partners to deliver integrated communication solutions," said Matthew Devine, Senior Platform Manager, ConnectYard, Inc. "We have invested significant time and resources into developing and releasing an easy-to-use API built on the RESTful architecture to enable integration with ConnectYard. It is encouraging to see the immediate use of our API by some of our partners to make their applications more social and engaging."

The first deliverables will include interfaces for API authentication, user and group management, notification option selection, message insertion, retrieval and deletion, and usage analytics. As a result, developers can deploy robust applications that allow for more engaging one-to-many and one-to-one communications across a variety of channels without making time consuming and expensive changes to their source code.
