College of Saint Rose interim president Maggie Kirwin will retire this June after 40 years at the private, liberal arts college, where she worked as a professor, dean, provost and president.
Kirwin has served as interim president since summer 2013 and will retire when incoming president Carolyn Stefanco steps into the position. Kirwin previously was the interim provost, the dean of the School of Education and a member of the education faculty.
She said developing continuing education and professional certificate programs was one of the high points of her career because it generated new opportunities and revenue for the college. Most recently, the college was approved to offer programs in Massachusetts.
