Christopher Newport U President Condemns Staffers Who Hid Newspaper

The president of Christopher Newport University is condemning the actions of staffers who hid stacks of the school's student newspaper because of an unflattering story about a campus meth lab.

The Daily Press reports that Paul Trible wrote in an email to students, faculty and staff on Tuesday that employees pulled The Captain's Log from racks ahead of campus tours for prospective students. Trible condemned the staffers' actions, but said it was done by young college employees who were concerned the story would create a bad impression of the school.

Trible said those involved would be disciplined, but refused to comment on what actions may be taken.
