Cayuga Community College president announces retirement

The president of the Cayuga Community College, which is in the midst of financial troubles, Wednesday announced his retirement from the college.

President Daniel Larson, who has lead the college with campuses in Auburn and Fulton for six years, announced his retirement at a special meeting of the trustees, the Citizen reports.

The board voted 6-2 to accept his resignation and a search has begun for a new president.

Larson has been at the forefront of the college's expansion in Fulton, its plans to build dorms at the Auburn campus, and its move to build a theater in downtown Auburn.
