California School Adopts UNH's Bystander Campaign

Part of the University of New Hampshire's nationally recognized sexual violence prevention program has been adopted by the University of California at Merced.

The Know Your Power social marketing campaign is designed to help prevent sexual and relationship violence by teaching community members to step in and speak up against such crimes. It's part of UNH's Bringing in the Bystander Program and includes putting up posters around campus, distributing products with the Know Your Power logo to freshmen and other displays.

UNH officials worked with their peers at the California university to launch the campaign, which will run through October.
