Broward College Finalist For National Prize

Broward College has been named one of 10 national finalists for the prestigious Aspen Prize – an award that recognizes America’s best community colleges, and boasts a $1 million total prize fund.

More than 1,000 community colleges competed for the award this year, and one other Florida school – Gainesville’s Santa Fe College – is also among the finalists.

The Aspen Prize recognizes colleges based on achievement in four areas: student learning outcomes, college completion, graduates’ employment rates, and the success of minority and low-income students.
