Break-In ‘Suspect’ At U of Texas Declines French Fries, Escapes

The alarms began ringing at 2:41 this morning. Something was awry in Room 8 of the Main Building at the University of Texas. Several police officers responded.

Here’s how the UT Police Department’s Darrell Halstead summarized the incident in his daily email blast:

“Officers discovered entry into the room had been made through the ceiling. The A/C ceiling vent was laying on the floor along with dust and other ceiling materials. Officers began searching the office and discovered a masked non-UT subject attempting to hide by hanging onto the wall molding and a window blind.
