Bowdoin Seeks Zoning Change For New Dormitory

Bowdoin College wants to buy a former assisted living home in Brunswick and turn it into student housing, but some town officials are concerned about the impact it would have on the neighborhood. The college signed a purchase and sales agreement in November, but can't turn the building into a dorm unless the town approves a requested zoning change. Town councilors voted 8-1 last week to send the request to the Planning Board.
