BASF donates $1M to LSU College of Engineering for sustainable living lab

The Southeast region of the United States and LSU will soon see its first-ever sustainable living lab that aims to promote problem-based teaching and research.

Chemical company BASF Corp. announced Wednesday its pledge to donate $1 million to LSU's College of Engineering to create a sustainable living lab that would be part of the engineering expansion for the school and renovation of Patrick F. Taylor Hall.

In August, 2013, Chevron announced a $2 million commitment supporting the renovation of the Patrick F. Taylor Hall and engineering expansion, and an additional $700,000 to the College of Science.
