Another Alabama university moves to ban tobacco campus-wide

Another public university in Alabama is moving to permanently ban smoking on all campus properties.

Alabama State University President William Harris said today he is using his executive authority to temporarily ban the use of all tobacco products campus-wide.

"The best science we have says that smoking causes grave difficulties to health," he said. "And we want our young people and our colleagues to be as healthy as possible."
