Alvernia University easily tops financial campaign goal

After five years of the most aggressive fundraising campaign in Alvernia's history, a group of principal volunteers could finally celebrate their unprecedented success Thursday night.

The original goal for Alvernia's Values and Vision campaign was $24 million. At some point, the amount was increased to $27 million.

Now, at the end of the campaign, more than 600 individuals helped raise more than $31.6 million, almost eight times the amount of any previous campaign.
