The executive committee of the Alabama A&M board of trustees today unanimously approved a contract extension for school President Andrew Hugine.
The trustees announced intentions in February to extend Hugine's contract and the executive committee was authorized by the full board in June to complete negotiations.
Hugine's contract now extends to July 15, 2017. His original contract expired next year.
There were no adjustments to Hugine's base salary of $230,000 but he received an enhanced performance-based incentive package, according to Odysseus Lanier, president pro tem of the board and chair of the executive committee.
