After Drug Bust, Fraternity Suspends U of North Dakota Chapter

Phi Delta Theta has suspended its Grand Forks chapter in the wake of numerous drug-related arrests at the UND fraternity house on Nov. 8.

A release by fraternity headquarters in Oxford, Ohio, said the group’s General Council has voted to suspend the chapter due to violations of risk management policies and failing chapter operations.

The suspension will last until fall of 2013, when the international headquarters plans to return Phi Delta Theta to campus with a fresh start.

International Executive Vice President Bob Biggs said the undergraduates who were members in the fraternity will not be eligible to return.
