Twenty Penn State students face trial on charges stemming from the riot that broke out after the ouster of football coach Joe Paterno amid a child sex-abuse scandal involving a former Paterno assistant.
The Centre Daily Times reports all but one student waived preliminary hearings Wednesday before a Centre County district judge but that student was also bound over for trial.
Two of the students who waived hearings face felony rioting charges in connection with the overturning of a television news van in the hours after university officials fired Paterno and forced the resignation of school President Graham Spanier following the arrest of former football assistant Jerry Sandusky.
