Take An Inside Look

University Business “Inside Look” features take you inside the most innovative and eye-appealing spaces within college and university facilities.

We are currently seeking suggestions for “Inside Look: Welcome Centers,” to be published in print and online in September 2013. A welcome center is defined as any space on campus that would be the first stop (or the main destination) for visitors as they arrive. Some institutions have buildings labeled as welcome centers, for either prospective students or alumni. At other institutions, the welcome center would be the admissions office greeting area or an alumni house.

To nominate the interior of a welcome center on your campus (or, if you’re a company that works with higher education, on a client’s campus), please submit via this form by end of day on Friday, June 14. Please include the names and locations of any outside firms whose work contributed to the interior of the facility shown in the images being submitted (design firm, furniture companies, etc.).

Selections will be made based on innovative use of space, how the space reflects the mission and values of the institution, and visual appeal.
