During a recent meeting, the DCCCD board of trustees approved Chancellor Dr. Joe May's recommendation for a new textbook contract which eliminates commissions on the sales of textbooks.

The College and University Professional Association for Human Resources released findings from its 2014-15 Professionals in Higher Education Salary Survey. The overall median base salary increase in 2014 for individuals in professional positions in higher ed (those with primary assignments and responsibilities requiring professional-level expertise and work in specific functional areas) was 2.2 percent.
