Taking time at NACUBO to recognize some of the latest Models of Efficiency honorees

Once again this July, recent Models of Efficiency honorees were recognized during the NACUBO conference at an awards dinner hosted by Higher One, the program’s sponsor. This year, award recipients were honored at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in Seattle.

Casey McGuane, chief operations officer at Higher One, and Daniel Kinnaman, publisher of University Business, introduced the award recipients and summarized the projects for which they were recognized.

From initiatives that streamlined procurement to efforts that improved campus marketing, the projects recognized at the event illustrate the benefits of innovative thinking.

“We believe that improving the efficiency of administrative services yields cost savings and reputation benefits that can propel a college into the top tier of success,” said McGuane.

Kinnaman noted that the honorees’ projects did more than simply improve operations. “By improving administrative efficiency, schools do more than save money,” he said. “They improve the student experience, which ultimately leads to improvements in all facets of student success.”
